The Business Education Awareness Initiative was founded to raise awareness about careers in business to high school students because many high school students do not see business as a viable career path. The purpose of this program is to give insight about our Actives’ experiences in business to high school students through the form of panels and workshops. We have launched our first event at Long Beach Polytechnic High School in which we gave a business panel to ASB students about not only business, but also share our college experiences. In starting this program, we aim to give back not only to our immediate community, but to local communities around UCI.
Please contact our Social Impact Director, LeAnne Do, for more information or to become involved in our Initiative.
Dodge for Dollars is an annual charity dodgeball tournament with the goal of raising funds for the Illumination Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to end the cycle of homelessness in Southern California. Dodge for Dollars was started in 2015 by Lambda Phi Nu alumna Donna Lin along with two other business fraternities, Alpha Kappa Psi and Delta Sigma Pi.
Since its inception, Dodge for Dollars has expanded to 7 professional fraternities including: Lambda Phi Nu, Alpha Kappa Psi, Delta Sigma Pi, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Delta Epsilon Mu, Kappa Beta Zeta, and Theta Tau. In the 3rd Annual Dodge for Dollars tournament in 2017, Lambda Phi Nu in conjunction with the six other fraternities raised over $1,400 for the Illumination Foundation.
